National Ocean Service Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary

The National Ocean Service (NOS) plans to continue construction and renovation activities at the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. Facility Programming provided master planning services including the following objectives:
  • Ensure appropriate and efficient utilization of NOAA resources
  • Ensure that proposed renovations and new construction meet the Sanctuary programming and facility requirements needs
  • Assess the existing facility conditions of the Main Building and Education Building and determine construction issues, if any
  • Provide updated, pre-conceptual, floor plans, and elevations of proposed renovations and new courtyard;
  • Provide a planning document that will guide the design of renovations and new courtyard
